Chicken Soup

This is what happens when you don't make sure the lid is on tight when you carry chicken soup:

Luckily not all of it spilled out. Some of it ended up all over Jacob!

At least Jacob got to have fun and play in the snow! Love you bud, thanks for the chicken soup. It was good while it lasted! :)

New Camera

For Christmas this year Jake and I decided that we were just going to get a nice camera so we can take good pictures of the baby. Best Buy was having a really good sale on them so we got one while it was on sale. Of course we don't wait til Christmas to use it, but I LOVE how fast and clear the pictures are! Merry Christmas to US!!

We just drove around and took random pictures. I am TERRIFIED of geese. I do not know why Jake took pictures of them.

Black Friday

Wal-Marts in Afghanistan??

Today Jake and I were sitting at home and we got a knock on the door and it was the Fed Ex and they delivered us this amazing stroller/carseat combo for the baby. Jake was annoyed that I didn't tell him that I ordered it, but I didn't. It was the BEST surprise from my friend, Liz, who's in Afghanistan right now. After we figured out it was Liz that sent it to us I turned to Jake and said, "I didn't know they had Wal-Marts in Afghanistan." Needless to say he just bust out laughing.

Thank you SO much Liz for getting this for us. We LOVE it. We love you too!

21 Weeks Today!

I feel like I am getting HUGE!! I'm feeling really good though. I haven't been sick at all for weeks. Nothings really changed craving wise since my last post. Jacob is still smiling since we found out we're having a boy, he even LIKES to go shopping with me. (As long as it's for the baby)

Halloween Cookies

Last night Jake and I went to my mom's house to make Halloween cookies with some of our nieces and nephew. Jake is SOOO proud of this cookie, I think it's hilarious. It's a vampire bat!


After making Halloween cookies Jake, my brothers Jared and Kyle, Kyle's girlfriend Ciara and I we all played Rock Band for the longest time. It was a lot of fun. Our band is called the Electric Commas, so look out for us!!

Baby Update

I've decided since I'm starting to feel better, I want to keep better track of my pregnancy. Since I found out in July that I am pregnant, I haven't taken one picture of myself. So tonight since Jacob is working late, I tried forever to take a picture of myself (which is really hard to do), but at least it's something right??

I also wanted to write down things that I crave all the time..
1. Cereal (not the good healthy kind, I of course crave Captain Crunch, Cinnamon Toast Crunch etc.)
2. French Toast AND Bacon (I don't really even like Bacon, but for some reason I LOVE it now, but I HAVE to have it with French Toast)
3. Otterpops (Can't get enough of them)
4. Diet Coke with Vanilla (Thanks Ash for getting me hooked on the Shell station!:))
That's all I can think of for right now. Also on October 21st we go have our ultra sound to find out what we're having. Jake says boy, but I'm kinda hoping for a girl..

Another Year Older

Jacobs birthday was yesterday and he turned 26!! He was a spoiled birthday boy this year. On Monday we went to dinner with my mom and Kyle. Then we went back to my mom's house for some cake, ice cream and presents. Jared also came over with his 4 kids to celebrate. Then tonight Jacobs mom took Jake, me, Jace and her to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. I was thinking about telling them it was his birthday so he would have to sit on that saddle, but I decided to be nice. After dinner we came back to our house and Dwayne, Tala and Taina came over for cake and ice cream. Thanks to everyone who helped celebrate and make Jacobs birthday special! Happy Birthday, Bud! I LOVE you!!

Benefit Breakfast

Today we went to the benefit breakfast for Kassie and Jerym. It was SOO good. All the girls that put it on did such an awesome job! They had breakfast, a silent auction, a raffle and a bunch of bounce houses for the kids. Thanks for everyone that helped put it together, it was so nice and I know it meant a lot to Scott and both Kassie's and our family. Here's some pictures that I took throughout the morning..

On a Happy Note..

Obviously our family has been going through a lot these past couple of weeks. Thanks everybody for all their kind thoughts and support. It's times like these that make you realize how important family is. On that thought.. Jake and I are expanding our little family! I'm PREGNANT! I'm a little over 12 weeks pregnant. Jake and I couldn't be happier.
Kassie, I know that you're putting your amazing mothering skills in use by helping take care of our baby up there in heaven. I'm glad that our baby will get a chance to know everyone's favorite Auntie Kassie and Jer-Bear. We love you both and think about you all the time.
I've been SO sick through this pregnancy so far, hopefully with the second trimester coming up I'll feel a lot better.

Track Meet

A couple of weekends ago Jake and I went up to Salt Lake to watch some of our nieces and nephews in a track meet. For those of you who don't know Jake LOVES track. He holds the record at Pine View for the longest jump on the running long jump. Needless to say he was a proud proud uncle that day. I LOVED just watching him watch the kids. He was so cute. I couldn't wipe the smile off his face. When the kids were younger he would try to teach them to run and jump and stuff. It was fun to see all his hard work paid off! This One's For Liz

One of my best friends, Liz, is in the National Guard and she's actually in Afghanistan right now serving our country. We can't really communicate other than computer so I just wanted to do a post dedicated to her and our friendship. I can't wait until she gets back, so we can plan another girls trip! I miss talking to her all the time, so I was just going through some old pictures and thought I would share.

Kyle's Graduation!

Happy 1 year, Bud!

K, I am such a slacker with this blogging thing. But Jake and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary on Memorial Day, so I just wanted to do a quick post dedicated to Jacob and tell him some reasons why I love him.

1. He always make me laugh.
2. He's the best cuddler ever! (he'll be embarrassed by that one!)
3. He is so compassionate towards everyone. He LOVES helping others out. It makes me want to be more giving to others.
4. He always surprises me with little gifts that he knows I want, but would never buy for myself.
5. He is the BEST uncle to all our nieces and nephews, so I know he will be a good dad!

There's way more, but this will do for now. Happy Anniversary, Bud!!



I almost forgot to write about what we did! Jake's family always has their reunion over Memorial Day weekend, so this year we were lucky enough to stay at a condo in Park City. His brothers and sisters all agreed to let Jake and I have the Master Suite since it was our anniversary. We had a way good relaxing weekend. We just hung out in the condo for the most part, but we did go out to dinner and to the park and stuff. Oh and of course shopping! Here's some pictures of the condo.

It's Official!!

As of May 29th, Jakes sister Robyn and her husband Jamie legally adopted Manamea!! We're so happy for them! Congratulations Jamie, Robyn and Manamea!! Such a cute family!

America's Next Top Models

On Saturday we were hanging out at our house with a bunch of our nieces and nephews. We were outside playing in the "sprinklers" (we just turned on the mist sprayers) and the kids were being really cooperative with me taking their pictures and that NEVER happens. Happy Birthday Tai Tai!!

I just wanted to tell our niece Taina Happy Birthday last Saturday!! (I'm a little late!) Shes the smartest 4 year old I know! She remembers EVERYTHING!!! We love you Tai!

Things We've Been Up To

I finally got a ram disk thing to get my pictures from my camera, so I decided to do one huge post on random things that we've been doing.
First, Christmas. Christmas I know was forever ago, but never got to post about it. Besides I still have my Christmas background, so that makes it ok! :) Jake and I had a great first Christmas together. We hung out with my family on Christmas Eve, then when we got home we decided we couldn't wait any longer and we opened our presents that night. Jacob totally spoiled me. I totally spoiled him. Overall way over budget! This is a picture of us with Jacobs family on Christmas day.



After Christmas I went to Vegas with some friends. It was fun, but I was already a little sick, and once we got down there I got a way bad eye infection. Not fun. Here is a picture of Liz, me, Jenny, and Liz's sister Robyn on our way out to go dancing. While we were at the club we saw Carmen Electra and one of the twins on Americas Next Top Model! LOVE that show!



After Vegas Jakes stepdad was really sick, he had pancreatic cancer. He passed away a week after I got back from Vegas. That was a really hard time for us, but it's getting better and we actually moved in with his mom so she won't be alone. It's been a really good move for Jake and I, and his mom. We've been having so much fun. Tonight we made our diet books! haha guaranteed to work in 6 weeks or our money back, so we'll see!! Other things we've been up to: Jake plays city league basketball, this picture is of him and Spencer. Totally MVP's!!! :)



haha, they really are good though. Last but not least, Jake and I FINALLY got a date night after all the craziness. We went to Chili's with Spencer and Mindy and then we went miniature golfing. Of course the boys made it a competition. Mindy and I totally won! Not really, we kinda cheated and "won" by one point! This picture is of Jake and I before we left the house. We are so cute!
