Gone Fishing

Jacob loves fishing and has always looked forward to the day he could take his son fishing like his dad always took him. On Monday it was the perfect fishing day so we decided to pack up the kids and go. Once we got there Jacob started getting the fishing poles together so I let Maverick blow bubbles while we waited. (Do NOT get the crayola color bubbles, they are the messiest bubbles ever. It was like Maverick was playing in blue food coloring. They would probably be ok for older kids though.) Once Maverick was good and messy from the bubbles Jacob was ready to fish. Jacob let Maverick help him cast the line into the water. Mav didn't really understand the waiting for a fish to bite part so that made him not very patient so he would just throw rocks in the water. (Probably why they didn't catch any fish.) After awhile the wind started picking up and we decided to go. Can't wait until we go again!

I'm Back!

It's official. I'm the worst blogger EVER. I don't know why I allow myself to get so far behind. It's been over a year since my last post. Seriously a year? Where do I even begin? So much has happened with lots of changes, but the biggest and best change to our family has been this girl..

This is Mia Rae. She was born February 11, 2011. She is the best baby ever. She only cries when she's hungry and then it's not even a cry it's more of a whimper. I don't know how I got so blessed to have such a sweet baby, but I am loving every minute of being this sweethearts mother. I was noticing my last post when I logged into blogger and I don't even recognize the boy who was learning to walk. Maverick is such a big boy now. He just turned 2 in March and he's definitely in the terrible 2's. I can't wait for this stage to be over with, but in the meantime I love watching him grow and learn new things every day. Plus he is such a good big brother. He loves taking care of his sister. He always wants to hold her or give her a bottle. I love watching them together. Mia loves him too. Whenever he's in the room she's got the biggest smile on her face. I can't wait for the day when she can actually play with him. (He loves playing basketball on the computer)

I'm going to try and be better about blogging. I'm just going to start from what's new now. I'm not going to try and do the past. Wish me luck!

Park Fun

Mondays are Jacobs day off so we decided to go to the park get some fresh air and just let Maverick walk around. It was such a perfect day to be outside and Maverick LOVED it. Not only did he walk around, but he started RUNNING! Definitely not ready for that.

10 Months Old

This little boy is 10 months old today! I can't believe I almost have a 1 year old!
Jacob and I took Maverick hiking at the Red Cliffs today, so we decided to get some 10 month pictures while we were at it. He absolutely LOVED every minute of being outside.

Christmas

We had a VERY good Christmas this year. Santa spoiled Maverick rotten even though he wasn't going to. I guess he couldn't help it, baby stuff is just so much fun to buy!
Maverick got this Mickey Mouse 4 wheeler and he loves it. Poor Jacobs legs hurt from going around the house pushing the button to make it go. It's worth it though to see the look on Mavericks face. On Christmas night Maverick was up all night because he caught another cold. Poor baby boy. He's feeling better today. Thank goodness!

Cookie Making Time

It's that time of year when you make cookies to set out for Santa. Maverick wanted to be involved in the cookie making process. (apparently to him it looked fun) He's such a big boy! He sat on the stool all by himself and made a mess with the dough and ate the flour. I'm sure Jacob enjoyed every bite of the cookie Maverick made for him!
Looks like Maverick enjoyed his cookie too!
